Bio:Dr Saitya Brata Das is an Associate Professor at Centre for English Studies in Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He has more than twenty one years of teaching and research experience. His research interests include Philosophy of Literature, Political Theology, Contemporary Continental Thought such as Phenomenology and Deconstruction, and German idealist thinkers such as F.W.J. von Schelling, Kierkegaard and Hegel. After completing his PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University in 2005, he became Hermes Fellow at UFR Philosophie, Université de Marc Bloch, Strasbourg, France and was a Fellow at Indian Institute of Advanced Study, Shimla between 2009 and 2011. His work The Promise of Time: Towards a Phenomenology of Promise is a product of his association with the Institute of Advanced Study, Shimla, as a Fellow. He has authored Political Theology of Life which will be out this year.
