Bio: Anna Auguscik teaches English Literature at the University of Oldenburg. Her research focuses on the novel in the literary marketplace and the relationship between literature and science.She received her PhD with a study of the literary marketplace in the early 2000s, Prizing Debate: The Fourth Decade of the Booker Prize and the Contemporary Novel in the UK (transcript, 2017). As a Fiction Meets Science research fellow (2014-18; 2018-21), her interest was with the media reception of contemporary science novels, the scientist protagonist, and global dimensions of science in fiction.
